Course Description

Participants develop the ability to articulate, design and implement World Bank Safeguards policies for displaced persons. The planning of resettlement activities is an integral part of preparation for bank assisted projects that cause involuntary resettlement. The scope and level of detail of the resettlement plan vary with the magnitude and complexity of resettlement.

Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participants should be able to understand the design, partnership, and implementations of resettlement plans. Participants develop skills and capabilities in resettlement of displaced persons as per the World Bank safeguards policies in collaboration or partnership with regional, government and non government agencies.
